Main Types of Compressed Air Filters
- Particulate Filters: Designed to remove dust and other solid particles from compressed air, available in various filtration grades.
- Coalescing Filters: Designed to remove liquids such as water, aerosols, lubricants, and other oil particles from the air. They use cartridges made of microfibers that trap these substances, aggregating them into a liquid state for removal.
- Activated Carbon Filters: Used mainly for the elimination of vapours such as odours and chemical fumes. These filters use cartridges that allow air to pass through activated carbon, which traps vapours because of their high porosity.
The filter cartridges are made with innovative materials like sintered HDPE polyethylene, providing effective filtration against particles, moisture, and oil aerosols. The filters often include features such as clogging level indicators and automatic condensate drainage systems, enhancing both usability and maintenance.
